2 Command Line

This chapter introduces some of the features of the command line.

2.1 Autocompletion

Rain can automatically complete identifiers you are typing. It first determines the context of the identifier to determine what appropriate completions would be (ie at the beginning of a function "def" would probably become "define"). It then collects a list of completions, picks the closest matching one, and adds the remaining characters in a light grey colour. To accept the completion simply press tab. If you want to see other completions press F1 and a listbox will popup which you can scroll with the up and down arrow keys, and select with enter.
